Spot is an independent capacity option for Dialt Fast voice API calls. It uses spare capacity, with the same Fast reasoning and existing analytics included. Once admitted, calls have the same in-call behavior as standard-capacity Dialt Fast.
How availability works
- Unavailable requests are refused before the call starts and incur no charge.
- Admitted calls are non-preemptible: they continue at their admitted rate when Spot admission closes.
- You can explicitly request standard fallback when Spot capacity is unavailable. A fallback call uses standard capacity at the normal Dialt Fast price of $3.90 per connected hour.
Spot is available through the voice API only. The playground and evaluations use standard capacity.
